Terms of use Privacy policy Delete account Contact

1. Welcome

Word Quran is provided by Commerce Zoom. For support, complaints, privacy questions or account deletion, email support@wordquran.app.

These Terms cover the Word Quran app and website. By using Word Quran, you accept them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use information.

2. Age and accounts

Word Quran is for ages 13 and over. If you are 13 to 17, ask a parent or guardian to help you understand these Terms and any purchase. Where the law requires an adult's agreement or permission, please get it first. If someone under 13 has an account, tell us and we will arrange its deletion.

You can try the first lesson without an account. After that, you need a free account to continue. An account saves your learning across devices and is needed for subscriptions and for playing with friends.

You can create an account or sign in with a short-lived code sent to your email address. If that verified email already belongs to a Word Quran account, the code signs you into the same account. You can also use a passkey, which uses your device's own security, or Google where offered. Sign in with Apple will be offered when Word Quran is available on iPhone.

Keep access to your email and your other sign-in methods safe. Do not share or sell your account, use someone else's account, or send us passwords or codes. Contact support if you think someone else has used your account. We may not be able to recover an account if every verified sign-in method is lost.

3. Learning and accuracy

The full course has 569 words, taught in a set order. Where we say "500 words", we mean this full course. Translations and recordings come from their own sources, credited in the app.

We take care to show Arabic accurately, including its marks. Meanings and transliterations help you learn, but they cannot express every meaning of a verse. Figures such as how much of the Quran the course covers are estimates, and progress and rewards in the app do not guarantee fluency or understanding. Any hasanat figure is an estimate of your reading, not a promise of spiritual reward.

For religious rulings or interpretation, please consult a qualified teacher or scholar. If you spot an error, email support with the word, the surah and ayah, and the language, so we can check it.

4. Free learning and Premium

Lessons, review, Quran examples, learning audio and the Word Garden are free. Learning never costs pearls.

Premium is optional. The app shows what Premium includes before you pay. Premium also removes sponsored pages. Offline course downloads are not part of Premium at present.

We confirm each Premium purchase with the store. If a payment is still being checked, check the purchase status in the app or contact support instead of paying again.

5. Subscriptions, cancellation and refunds

Premium is a monthly subscription that renews automatically through Google Play until you cancel. RevenueCat helps us manage and confirm purchases. On iPhone, billing will be through the App Store once Word Quran is available there.

The store shows the local price, billing period and renewal terms before you confirm. Your store account is charged each month unless you cancel before the next renewal. We do not currently offer an annual, lifetime or free-trial plan.

Cancel through the store account that bought the subscription. Use Manage on the Premium page, or open Google Play subscriptions. Access normally continues until the end of the period you have paid for; a refund or reversed payment can end it sooner. Use the store's refund process, or contact support for help. Your legal consumer and refund rights still apply.

To restore Premium, sign in to the same Word Quran account with the same store account. A purchase cannot move to a different Word Quran account, including a new account created after deletion.

6. Pearls and Play

Pearls are Play rewards with no cash value. They cannot be bought with money, sold, transferred or cashed out. You earn and spend them through the options shown in the app, such as another try or a new look. Gifts are fixed, not random, and missing a day does not reset the gift calendar.

The Bazaar may offer an ad you can choose to watch for pearls. Watching is optional, the reward and daily limit are shown in advance, and we confirm the ad was watched before adding pearls. Watching an ad does not earn religious reward.

Events and weekly goals have their own rules, shown in the app. Practice records and any shared reading figure measure activity in the app, not faith or spiritual worth.

7. Friends and respectful use

You add friends and start two-player games with invitations, not your phone contacts. Friends see your chosen name, avatar and what is needed to play. Sharing your level and when you are online is off until you turn it on in friend settings. There is no public chat with strangers.

Use respectful, lawful names. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate, post hateful or sexual content, send spam, share someone else's private information, infringe others' rights, cheat or get around security.

Use Block to end a connection and Report to raise a safety concern. Unblocking does not restore an old connection. A report does not automatically punish or block anyone. We may review concerns and restrict misuse; contact support if you want a restriction reviewed.

8. Privacy and deleting your account

Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep, the statistics we collect, error reports and ads. It also explains how we count installs from our links and the first lessons and subscriptions that follow them; email support if you object.

Learning and event reminders are optional and use your device's notification permission. Event reminders are off until you choose them on the event page, with at most two per event. You can turn them off in the app or your phone's notification settings.

To delete your account, go to Profile → Privacy & data → Delete account, or email support. We will confirm that the account is yours. Deletion removes your progress, pearls and Play items; they cannot move to another account. A few purchase records remain, as the Privacy Policy explains. Deleting the account or the app does not cancel a subscription or give a refund. Cancel through the store.

9. Content rights and availability

You may use the app and its material for personal learning. Using the app does not give you ownership of its software, artwork, translations or recordings. These Terms do not claim ownership of the Quran or limit any use the law allows. Do not copy or redistribute protected material, or extract it automatically, without permission unless the law allows it. Your chosen name stays yours; we use it only to run the feature.

App stores, sign-in providers and linked services have their own terms. Online features need a connection, and maintenance, provider faults or an old app version can affect access. We cannot promise the service will always be available or free of errors.

We may correct content and update features and supported app versions. Where required, we will tell you about significant changes to these Terms or to paid benefits before they apply, and we will respect your cancellation and refund rights.

10. Ending use and our responsibilities

You can stop using Word Quran at any time. We may limit access to deal with misuse, security risks or unlawful activity, in proportion to the problem. We will explain why and offer a review, unless that would create a safety risk or break the law. Limiting access does not cancel store billing.

We will provide the service with the care and skill the law requires. Nothing in these Terms removes your legal consumer rights or limits our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Where the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from commercial use or from misuse of the app.

11. Law and questions

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not remove the protections or court rights you have where you live. If one part of these Terms cannot legally apply, the rest still does.

Send questions or complaints to support@wordquran.app. You can also use any other complaint or legal route open to you.
